Just wanted to make sure it was not overlooked.  IIRC, Linus mentioned
this in his google talk but he does emphasize that git is primarily an
SCM and not a build-management tool.

I just had a look.  The author (who posts here) is probably in a better
position to say than I.

but I don't think that's the problem here.
