Ok, you might consider the changes that I proposed for octave.1 and install the symlink octave-cli.1. Should I send a file a report to the bug tracker at Savannah?

It exists for people who want to run only the command line version and don't want to load the GUI libraries at all. I know that it is a bit confusing to have octave and octave-cli which currently appear to do the same thing. Maybe in the future we'll have a better solution.

This will make sense when the GUI will become the default interface for Octave.
