Well, this isn't a new problem from my point-of-view. Instead of having people
tinker with their bios settings, someone on my team has modified btmgr for our
usage. btmgr is a bootmanager on a floppy, able to boot ide/pcmcia cdrom's
without having to set this up in the bios. It's true that not every pc would
have floppy-booting enabled, most do (either you install an OS from flop or
cdrom, only when an OS has been pre-installed could both be disabled).
Then again, I'd rather shove another download than write documentation.
btmgr's website: http://btmgr.sourceforge.net/
'our' btmgr: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/morphix/morphixboot_02.img?download
Cheers,
Alex
