fwiw, the above hexadecimal string is not a full OpenPGP fingerprint
(it's also not an OpenPGP long keyID or an OpenPGP short keyID).  It
appears to be the final half of this fingerprint (which is indeed signed
by Bdale:

 1A27 4782 4E52 FCC4 D157  C0D1 B24C A63F 6EBB E84D

Tim, a quick followup message confirming (and including) the full
fingerprint would be great to have on this thread for posterity.

Sorry for the nitpickery, and thanks for contributing to debian!
