i downloaded erik's pre-release tarball, but have yet to check it with
ardour. assuming it contains the patch i sent erik 18 months ago (or
whenever it was), this will work fine for us - we would much rather not
have libsndfile in our tree. i'm away for the long weekend here in the
US, but i will test this out when i get back next week.
