I recently had a look at what was in ardour SVN and distilled a patch which is currently in my development tree.
A new libsndfile release sounds like the best solution for Debian to me. Any objections, Paul D?
I'm getting really close to a proper 1.0.18 release. The only major thing still required is to remove the Ogg, Vorbis and FLAC sources from the tree and link against external versions.
That would also help the de-embedding process.
How long do I have to get the proper release sorted out for inclusion in Lenny?
Library freeze is due next month, according to: http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2007/06/msg00005.htmlIt would be great to have this resolved before then, which would in turn give us the chance to get Ardour into Lenny.
