No, that wasn't the problem. The problem was that dh_fixperms was
makeing /usr/share/vrms/reasons/vrms executable, even if I tried to
exclude it (the --exclude switch of dh_fixperms) from being "fixed".
But I think that the package is much better now, with no problems
reported by lintian and everything documented in the changelog.
Just for redundancy's sake, here is the information about the package
(again):
