Yes, package fcron needs to do this. Please download its source and look at
the postinst script.

I am not sure I'm doing it the 'correct' way, but it works, and does not
trample over the user's wishes if he screws around with dpkg-statoverride.

The only thing I am not sure about is wether we need to purge the
dpkg-override on package purge, or not. I am not doing this right now
because I fear that would remove the override EVEN if it were created
manually by the user...
