I'm looking for the 'correct' way of Yes, package fcron needs to do this. Please download its source and look at the postinst script. I am not sure I'm doing it the 'correct' way, but it works, and does not trample over the user's wishes if he screws around with dpkg-statoverride. The only thing I am not sure about is wether we need to purge the dpkg-override on package purge, or not. I am not doing this right now because I fear that would remove the override EVEN if it were created manually by the user... -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
