Could find recent article where he works (2017) at "Division of Genomic Technologies, RIKEN Center for Life Science Technologies, Yokohama, Japan".
His email seems to be  michiel.dehoon [at] riken.jp (http://www.riken.jp/en/research/labs/clst/genom_tech/life_sci_accel/genom_algo/)

However, if not anymore in same institute, he won't be able to modify/update software license (property  of institute i think)
