[amul:1] I don't know if saw it, but I asked in a mail to Brad yesterday if anyone was having problems with Unicode. I have an
enhancement that hacks locale. Thank you for that blog post - which is blocked by the corporate proxy. :( I'll update my work
accordingly.

[amul:1] IIRC, you have to have a valid locale for libicu to do the right parsing. I think that our development some of our
machines already have the locale set correctly. Which would explain why neither Brad nor I hit NONUTF8LOCALE while doing the
UTF8 directory.
