Re: Debian Live Boot issue with Graphics Driver

Looks like Debian Live Distro needs the following option for kernel  in GRUB  config file if GPU driver is installed..

nomodeset amd_iommu=off iommu=pt

Else it will hang with series of DRM bit flip timeout error messages... Has anyone experienced this before?

with "nomodeset amd_iommu=off iommu=pt" I was able to circumvent the problem..But there should be a better way without disabling the GPU driver..

On 2022-06-01 I've removed 'nomodeset' from the code, because that was causing hangups during the boot of the 'failsafe' option.

Which version of live-build are you using?

Do you need all these 3 options for a normal live boot?
