as i said twice now, one should use syslinux-themes-debian as a starting
point. however, that requires live-build 3.x from git and stuff is
likely to change the layout still. but again, as said, i would go with
the menu and modified timeout, rather than mess with the new stuff
(unless you want to help implement/fix it).
