I don't see the point of having Ubuntu-like version strings, especially if
we currently have *none* in the archive.

If you really don't like the first part of the check, fine; I could remove
it, but IMHO the second part should be included.

JFTR, currently none of the packages in unstable seem to be matching those
regexes. 

Please reconsider it.
