As noted in another reply, only magicrescue is an option, because the
way recover and e2undel work doesn't apply to ext3.

ext3rminator, that you can get from
http://web.glandium.org/debian/repository/experimental/
(if you can keep an image of your disk and wait for weeks, there is a
much better version in preparation)
