Don't get rude. If you can't answer his question or don't want to CC,
then don't. But don't bother OP and all other readers of this list with
insulting mails that don't contribute to solve problems.

NB: Your only contribution to this list in the past 6 months was
breaking a thread about thinkpads with your question about a toshiba,
and you got a friendly reply!

To OP: This is not laptop specific. You might have better asked at
debian-user.

I can't comment your problems, since I use Thunderbird for handling
e-mails. It's probably not the best solution, but it should be able to
handle your problems.

You can set up thunderbird to send mail via any well behaved external
mail server (incl. authentification, encryption, etc.). Look at 'account
settings', 'outgoing server (SMTP)'. You can even set up mutliple
incomming/outgoing servers.
