Re: sound problem on debian etch - 2.6.14



Hi Stefan,

thanks for your answer, XMMS is another issue, because the sound doesn't work even if I use aplay or any other sound player.

I installed the alsa-oss plugin and configured the XMMS to use oss, but it doesn't make any difference. The problem must be somewhere in the ALSA crap.

The problem would be perfectly described as muted output in the alsamixer, but that's what I have checked hundred times.

Alsa supports OSS emulation, that combination works better for me.
