In case you haven't changed anything (which I doubt you have, since then
you'd know how to undo it ;) ), this should work for you:
echo "" > /etc/X11/default-display-manager

I'm not sure about the way default-display-manager is written though,
maybe without the dashes.

If you want it back on, then simply echo the full path to xdm or kdm into
that file, like "/usr/bin/xdm".
