Hello,

I use the hostAP driver (0.0.3) together with kismet (2.8.1) and it just
works fine.

The other two questions I can't answer directly but perhaps
http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/ may help.
It helped me a lot when I searched for a wireless driver but I haven't
read it recently so I don't no if it's still up to date.
