I haven't tried it, and I know it's still only test-quality, but ospmd is
supposed to define an API that should allow an applet to query ACPI for
this.  I don't know if it's ready to do that yet, though.  Otherwise, you're
stuck with browsing the /proc/acpi tree, as Erich suggests.
