I honestly can't remember exactly how I was thinking back in 1998. The L
may stand for "Lysator" (a computer club at Linköping university). Or it
can stand for liberty. Or lsh can be the left shell if the old rsh
program is the right shell.
None of the alternatives appear very compelling, I guess.
