I propose jumping immediately to the conclusion steps of the review: send a "Last Call For Comments", where templates are the new ones you just sent....as well as the proposed rewritten debian/control. Then I'll send the update as a bug report(mostly for debian/control as you indeed already adopted revisions for the debconf templates) and launch the translation update round. Would that be OK for you?
