The patch applies perfectly after a simple fix.

bzcat xfs-2.4.23-all-i386.bz2|\
sed -e 's/^ SUBLEVEL = 23$/ SUBLEVEL = 24/'|\
bzip2 -c >xfs-2.4.24-all-i386.bz

The differences between 2.4.23 and 2.4.24 are quite small, smaller than
those between 2.4.23 and 2.4.24-pre1.

This is not an unreasonable concern, though in this case I think it is
negligible.
