I tried as an experiment to mount both /dev/cdrom and /dev/scd0 I got nowhere, as you can see below: root@Catrin:/home/jasmine# mount /dev/scd0 mount: can't find /dev/scd0 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab root@Catrin:/home/jasmine# mount /dev/cdrom mount: No medium found
Probably silly, but since the answer (no medium) is different in thesecond case: you _did_ have a cdrom loaded in that unit when attempting to mount, did you ?-)
