Mozilla is fully included. If it is not on your CD, then it's not the
original Knoppix.

Excerpt from packages.txt (from the current version 2003-01-01):

ii mozilla 1.2.1-9 Mozilla Web Browser - dummy package
ii mozilla-browser 1.2.1-9 Mozilla Web Browser - core and browser
ii mozilla-locale-de-at 1.2.1-3 Mozilla German Language/Region Package.
ii mozilla-mailnews 1.2.1-9 Mozilla Web Browser - mail and news support
ii mozilla-psm 1.2.1-9 Mozilla Web Browser - Personal Security Manager (PSM)
ii mozilla-xmlterm 1.2.1-9 Mozilla Web Browser - XML enabled

Question: Does Windows run Linux applications? Or was this question just
badly asked?

Yes, the mozilla mail client, for example. mutt should be able to read
uncompressed mozilla mailboxes as well.

Did you verify that your CD is OK? Did you verify the md5sum?
It looks to me as if you have a defective CD, if you can't start mozilla
mail, and booting does not work as expected.

Thanks for the report, I have not thoroughly tested the new feature
myself and wondered if anyone had already been using it. :-)
