You can choose one. ;-)  (I am fond of subject lines starting with
"[bug?] " but that's just a personal affectation.)

There is a mailing list archive at [1] if you want to look around and
blend in.  The file [2] also has some advice.  The ver_linux script it
mentions is at [3].

Yep, that guide looks right.  BTW, 3.1-rc6 just hit experimental,
though the autobuilders haven't finished building it yet:
