Can you provide a full serial log output ? Is the panic in question one
happening because it doesn't find the initrd, or something else ? How do you
boot, and with what ? Where do you create the initrd ? On the same box or
somewhere else ? what is the size of the initrd ? Could you try setting the
initrd options to MODULES=most or something such ?
