Ok, this is your word against Hollis ones, i wonder which i should believe :)

Now, is it possible that both your machines behave differently in this case or
something such ? Or maybe there is a bug affecting you in the case where you
have to force the root device ? Also, i don't like the way you have to threat
the ramdisk thingy. It doesn'y work like that on my pegasos, where the ramdisk
is found all by itself by the kernel, so something is seriously wrong and
needs investigation.
