Re: Mail-Server response: A000002 NO Authentication failed

Further comment of mine (analysis) to narrow down the problem:
1. All emails are fetched from my mailserver (at my service-provider aon.at)
2. Difference of IMAP-Server settings:
   within Kmail it is: securemail.a1.net
   within Thunderbird it is: smail.a1.net
o.k.--> Thunderbird does NOT produce the error "Mail-Server response:
   A000002 NO Authentication failed
3. So therefore I changed Kmail IMAP-Server to: smail.a1.net
Result: Until NOW the error message does NOT appear
Oh wait - just when typing this mail I get the error-message TOO although
   'smail.a1.net' is active

Interesting: Official documentation of my service-provider for implementing
email-account does NOT indicate 'smail.a1.net" (!!)

Now I try as imap-server: imap.a1.net with port: 143 (out of official doc of
A1.net-Provider
