I'm still somewhat reluctant to use this repo, for no other
reason than the creator of the PPA hiding. Undoubtedly, there may
be good reasons to do so. But it gives me a hard time trusting in
it.

Sure, I can always read the sources, as has been suggested in
another reply. :-) I did not do that for the packages I've got
from Debian, because the fact that they do not even try to hide
who they are makes me feel I can trust them. This is not the case
for http://kdebian.org/.
