When you installed hplip, it would have removed hpoj -- they Conflict. HPLIP has support for both the PSC1210 and the 697, checking on this page: http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/productssupported.php You should be able to add both printers at the same time through the KDE control module; just pick the right driver and interface. In fact, HPLIP should support parallel printers through the hp:/ URI as well. Perhaps try restarting the printer service, i.e., '/etc/init.d/hplip restart' ? -- Ryan Schultz -> floating point exception: divide by cucumber
