Bug in imaps

I use a ssh tunnel to access my IMAP mailbox inside a firewall. Here's what I
do:
ssh user@firewall-host -L 10000:mail-host:993
and then configure kmail to use port 10000 with SSH enabled. When I'm done, I
colapse the IMAP folder in kmail's left bar and then kill SSH. If imaps
closed it's connection I wouldn't have to kill the SSH tunnel but I have to
right now.
After doing that, imaps starts consuming 100% cpu and loads of memory.
This is a bug report but I didn't know which package to submit it to, and
since I'm subscribed to this mailing list...
Greetings,
Pedro Corte-Real.
