Thanks! This clears up the problem a bit. So there are two
different approaches:

1) gs + CJK patch
2) gs-aladdin-vflib (which is not "mainstream" Debian).

In fact I tried approach 1 but apparently not correctly, because
it never worked. Do you (上川さん) use this approach successfully?

It seems that I can print using approach 2) but not 1) (but
only using an old gs-aladdin-vflib, not a new one). The "true
Debian way" is approach 1. This means: don't worry about /etc/
vfontcap. So now the question is: how to make approach 1) work.
