[OT] Hardware per piccolo server di produzione



Buongiorno a tutti,

vorrei acquistare un pc per farne un piccolo fileserver. La macchina non
sara' in servizio continuo.

Il kernel a 32 bit riconosce correttamente anche la scheda grafica on
board, contrariamente a quanto accade con il kernel a 64 bit.
Il resto sembra funzionare normalmente a prescindere dal kernel avviato
e non e' prevista l'installazione del server-X.
Domande:
Si puo' installare un kernel a 64 bit su di una macchina di produzione?
Fa senso comperare una macchina con una cpu a 64 bit e farla funionare
con un kernel a 32?
Conviene allo stato attuale restare con tutto sui 32 bit?
