oltre ad apt-get c'è anche apt-cache, infatti:
$ apt-cache search apt howto
apt-howto-it - A Guide to APT (Italian)
apt-howto - A Guide to APT
apt-howto-en - A Guide to APT (English)
apt-howto-es - A Guide to APT (Spanish)
apt-howto-ko - A Guide to APT (Korean)
apt-howto-pl - A Guide to APT (Polish)
apt-howto-pt-br - A Guide to APT (Portuguese)
apt-howto-ru - A Guide to APT (Russian)

Intallane uno e vedrai che troverai le tue risposte, leggere per credere
