Re: Making via-rhine card to work under hurd...



Hmmm....  Nobody answered...

Any ways...  L4 is not to have a console on top of it yet (tried it
already, and it's not there yet)...  Oskit-mach doesn't even boot, I
got the misterious page fault when booting...

And I confirmed lots of interrupts are shared by the laptop.  I read
somewhere the solution was to compile gnumach removing items sharing
IRQs not to be used, however that's not possible since when perfoming
lspci -v, it looks like IRQ11, the one used for the ehternet card, is
also shared by the HD, the video card, usb controllers and pcmcia
controllers...  So essentially I'm running out of options...  No
network connection no nothing...  :-(  Bios lacks any options to
disable IRQ sharing...

If someone has any hints on how to solve this, let me know, so far it
looks like I have to wait till Hurd-L4 finally provides at least a
shell to work under (doesn't seem soon though, :-(...)
