Possibly.  It would be nice to figure out what the problem is.

You can run the console without the repeater stuff, but with
pc_mouse:

console -d pc_mouse -d pc_kbd -d vga /dev/vcs

Can you please try if that works?  If it does you will see a mouse
cursor when moving the mouse.
