It's not rewriting pfinet, but integrating ppp with pfinet.
AFAIK, Thomas thinks about something like a pump server that initiates
the connection and forwards it to pfinet. Thomas knows the details
about this, and this is the main work to be done for ppp support.
The one interface limitation should not be too hard to overcome.
There already exist patches for that, but Thoms did not yet incorporate them.
