I d/led the ppp source out of curiosity and took a look at what has to be
done. Turns out the pppd itself is quite protable, and all system dependent
functionality is isolated in sys-{os}.c files. However the most important part
of the port is to introduce ppp support into pfinet. The current implemetation
of pfinet is kinda shabby right now. From the looks of it, it can only handle
one interface at a time and only either ethernet or loopback. So if anyone
wants to port ppp, they should also rewrite pfinet.
