Cool. Gordon, can you comment on this patch? If you are integrating it at
your end, I can integrate the patch to hurd for the Debian package (a new
Hurd package is overdue anyway).

I have finished compiling a tar file of inetutils. I would like to upload
them to alpha.gnu.org, but I can't connect (ftp just sits there). I will try
to put them at master.debian.org, if you are impatient, get it from there
(usual address: http://master.debian.org/~brinkmd/hurd/).
