Yup, that'd be Doug's mail app not correctly putting in the To: header?
Rather annoying, though not many folks would use a To: field for mail list
filtering these days (aka since ~2000? ;) )

Either way, the X-Mailing-List header is MUCH more reliable.. :)

AKA:
X-Mailing-List: <debian-hams@lists.debian.org>

For yahoo groups, I use the List-Id: header, which serves the same purpose

Hi all:

I have always used a filter to move certain lists to special mail folders.
I switched to thunderbird last year and then replaced hardware (complete
loss of older laptop). As mail came in, I made new folders and filters
using thunderbird filter helper tools but now I get a lot of debian list
stuff landing in my INBOX that didn't get filtered:

Message-Id:<[🔎] 201201021905.q02J5pWq013437@mail130c7.megamailservers.com>
X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Version 7.1.0.9

Anyone else have this problem too?

tnx, 73
--------------
When I respond to a message on the list I use "reply" option of the mail
program. On this list it appears to go to the originator of the message.
I have not noticed this on other lists that I respond on. When I notice
it, I will cut and paste. I am not a microsoft fan and have used Eudora
for years as a mail client. I understand that this is an option of the
list owner. Perhaps some mail clients work differently. Sorry for the
problem folks..
