Ok I see what you where getting at.
However, the original message was mine and complained about the fact
that the key was not there in the backport, but has always been there
for me in other G2.x version (Garnome, Gentoo)

I understand now what you wanted to say. Had I done immediately, I wold
have said
c) options that would be available in gconf-editor if the keys were set,
but can be added anyway

To me it seems like a packaging problem (?)
