E: libosgearth1: embedded-library usr/lib/libosgEarth.so.2.0.0: tinyxml Can you think about whether we should override this error, or configure it to use the system library? Apart from the embedded library issue that we have to deal with, here are some (mostly minor) issues can be dealt with so we can make lintian (even) happier: 1. I: osgearth: arch-dep-package-has-big-usr-share 8409kB 98% This means, most parts of osgearth package are architecture-independent files, I recommend to put those files into another packages, named osgearth-data. This will save a lot of space on worldwide Debian mirrors. Making changes to packages separation will have the package go into NEW again, so I *recommend* you make this change before our initial upload. 2. I: osgearth source: duplicate-short-description osgearth libosgearth1 This means the two binary packages has the same description, it's easy to fix this problem. 3. W: osgearth: binary-without-manpage usr/bin/osgearth_cache W: osgearth: binary-without-manpage usr/bin/osgearth_toc W: osgearth: binary-without-manpage usr/bin/osgearth_version W: osgearth: binary-without-manpage usr/bin/osgearth_viewer It would be best if you can add man pages for those binaries, but it does not matter if you don't want to add it now. 4. I: osgearth source: binary-control-field-duplicates-source field "section" in package osgearth Removing the "Section: science" line from debian/control's osgearth binary package will make sense. 5.
