Euh, tu es certains d'avoir besoin de X pour cela ? Contrairement à Redhat,
debian (ou Suse) se configure très bien sans jamais avoir à utiliser X. Il
est vrai que sous RedHat c'est loin d'être le cas mais sous Debian on se passe
très bien de X. De toute façon, dis toi que X avec seulement 8 Mega de RAM ça
va être emm^H^Hnnuyeux...

et cette machine fait dns, ip-masquerading, passerelle SMTP et je n'ai pas
cherché à faire une installation minimaliste et je signale qu'il il y a 6
Mo dans /usr/doc, 4,5 dans /usr/man et 14,5 dans /home (et même 3,5 Mo
dans /usr/local auxquels je ne pensais plus).
à titre indicatif, voici le résultat de dpkg -l, il y a bien plus de chose
que le strict nécessaire pour faire ce que tu demandes (mais il n'y a pas
X ...). Tu pourras constater qu'une bonne part des paquets n'a rien à voir
avec les tâches que tu désires. Au fait c'est vraiment proxy que tu veux
faire ou simplement passerelle ? J'ai peur qu'un proxy s'avère gourmand en
disque s'il est bcp sollicité.

La démarche consiste à n'installer que les paquets requis (env. 25 Mo)
puis à ajouter petit à petit ceux que tu utiliseras vraiment
