Great.  This seems like a very good way to evaluate redundant software.
What do you intend to do with the info?  Remove stuff, tune menus, or what?

Agreed.  This is a difficult task.

Of course.  It was just that article which triggered the thought for me.
This issue has been in the back of my head for some time.
