[Debian-NYC] Next workshop: October 27. Topic: ???
Hello,
The next workshop will be Wednesday, October 27th.
All we need is a topic. In November, I think David and Keith will
prepare something on automated configuration / puppet. This is a
workshop before that one.
Some suggestions from the time poll are:
- Custom kernel basics for extended hardware support;
- How to build packages from scratch;
- Advanced packaging tools.
Other ideas are here:
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianNYC/Workshops
Workshops which I could lead now without too much extra effort
are:
- "what's in a package": http://wiki.debian.org/DebianNYC/Workshops/WhatsInAPackage
- The boot up process
If anyone has requests or preferences, please let the list know. If
you want to _give_ the workshop, also let the list know!
If you already know you will come, regardless of the topic, go ahead
and RSVP to me.
Thanks,
- richard
