Ah, that's why, I was wondering. And the Hotel Pennsylvania was a
cheap venue... I don't think the NY hotel conference center is
anywhere within the DebConf budget. Plus rooms are $250/night or
more That's where drug companies do their conferences, to give some
perspective.
Poly can provide housing and conference space, with one very nice
space for 24/7 access for very cheap. Plus there are lots of
engineering students there that need to be drawn away from the dark
side.
