IIRC someone changed dpkg's handling of host strings so that the sizetable
was tied to the OS and the Architecture (bleck) you just need to add more
entries to the the files sizetable and archtable. Note that if you compile
APT you'll have to make some hand tweaks to build/include/config.h (post
configure) to match the architecture string.

The include files are probably just the usual solaris/bsd/linux drift..
