Package: release-notes Severity: normal Tags: l10n Dear Maintainer, The problem ----------- Access the German translation of the stretch 9.9 release notes, at https://www.debian.org/News/2019/20190427.de.html. The last sentence of the main section is mistranslated/misleading: It reads "Wer etwas Anderes wie beispielsweise "apt" oder "aptitude" einsetzt, sollte den "upgrade"-Befehl absetzen." The word "absetzen" evokes connotations of medicine, i.e. in the meaning "stop using this command". What is meant is to use the |upgrade| command. Suggested solution ------------------ Change "absetzen" to any of "verwenden", "benutzen" or "einsetzen", which have the correct meaning. I am not sure if this is the right place to report the bug; if not, I would appreciate a pointer to a better venue. Cheers, Mike -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.9 APT prefers oldstable-updates APT policy: (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
