Re: /doc layout in ftp.debian.org [was: Documentation provided in the Woody CDs (should be fixed)]

Well. Since Josip asked for it I messed up with
the current layout, retrieved content from various sources and
made a new layout available at:

auric.debian.org:/home/jfs/doc/proposed_layout

I've added all the manuals currently in the DDP (but Josip just
updated the french translation of one so it's no longer uptodate
with CVS) as well as content translated on the web site and
some debian packages.

If you are interested on the layout itself I hope the README-en.txt
suits your needs. Note that the I have *not* included the install
manual since it is sent by boot-floppies with 'byhand' and they
are already taken good care of translations, also, the
/doc/install link in debian-cd point to /install which in itself
points to the install documents (although currently not to
*all* the translations).

If you are interested in how I made it (took me 3hours so I was
not that much far off) read the document NOTES_and_TODO in the
parent directory.

Well, I'm off to sleep, it's 4 am here and I have to wake up for
work 5 hours from now.

	Best regards

	Javi

PD: If you are interested in the impact for mirrors the old /doc
has about 5.5 MBs the new one's size is around 20Mbs (due to the
inclusion of the DDP manuals)
