| He has a copyright attribution in R/read.R IIRC but there may be other
| instances and other copyright holders. You would make the reference(s)
| in debian/copyright like any other package.

Checking the file now and ... he _is_ in the debian/copyright:

   Files: *
Copyright: 2014 - 2017 Jan Marvin Garbuszus and Sebastian Jeworutzki
   Portions Copyright: 2010 Thomas Lumley
   License: GPL-2

Again, if _we_ (as packagers) could see the output of your linters then you
and would possiblt not need three emails back and forth.

| This sort of question is neither helpful nor productive I'm afraid. There
| is no secret contact channel that you seem to be implying; there just
| the simply the one that is read and processed by incredibly busy people.

I actually meant that as a non-snarky and sincere question -- the page at
https://ftp-master.debian.org/new.html is fantastic and very helpful. But it
is missing a contact address. Or a hint of who to talk to. I really do think
you (or ftpmaster) need to add _something_ there.

Thanks _again_ for getting me out of a NEW pickle. New packages will follow
today.

Best, Dirk
